Team Wisconsin: READY FOR WORLD CUP
Following weeks and months of training, Team Wisconsin is ready for the August 7th/8th World Cup Meet in Denver, Colorado.  Member selections were made at the Chippewa Classic Meet on May 1st, and since that time, 20% of the Main Roster, and 50% of the Alternates have changed.  Prior to May 12th, 1 Alternate and 2 Main Team Members informed the Office of Wisconsin Powerlifting that they would not be able to make it to Denver, due to scheduling conflicts.  As a result, 2 Alternates were move to the Main Roster, and 2 more Alternates were added.  Between July 27th and July 30th, another Alternate dropped out, and another Alternate has been added.  At this time, Team Wisconsin has 10 Main Roster Members from Wisconsin, 2 Alternates from Wisconsin, and 1 Out-of-State Alternate.  Everybody is injury free, and so, it is believed that Team Wisconsin will field a full 10 Unequipped Powerlifters from their Home State.

Other Important Wisconsin News

Wisconsin Cheese Cards will be on sale from today, through Friday, August 6th, for only $175.  Wisconsin Cheese Cards are regularly $225, and are similar to the NASA Gold Card with a slight difference.  The Cheese Card has 10 Credits on it, with 2 Credits equalling the 1st Division at any Wisconsin Powerlifting Meet, and 1 Credit equalling any Subsequent Division at the same Meet.  So, regularly, it only costs you $45 for your 1st Division, and only $22.50 for your Additional Divisions, at the same Meet.  With the Sale Price of $175, that drops to $35 for your 1st Division, and only $17.50 for Additional Divisions.  Wisconsin Cheese Cards do not expire and are presently good for Entries at NASA Meets in Indiana, Wisconsin, and Nebraska.  They are usually on sale 2 times per year, once in the Summertime, and once just before Christmas.

The Wisconsin State Records and Top 10 Lists are scheduled to be updated prior to Friday, August 6th.  Job has been busy getting on the Ballot for his run for the 26th Assembly Seat, and auto insurance sales have skyrocketed since auto insurance became mandatory, with a $500 fine for the lack thereof, on June 1st.  Hence, he has had little personal time to update the Records and Top 10 Lists.

Wisconsin Powerlifting has finally received Copyright Number TXu 1-661-247, from the U.S Patent Office, Copyrighting the Quadralifting Rules Of Performance effective December 18th, 2007.  Wisconsin Powerlifting is granting NASA Meet Directors the exclusive permission to have Quadralifting Events at NASA Meets, with the permission of NASA's National Office.

If you asked which lady lifter has participated in more Texas meets in the last 6 years, both as competitor, and staff member, the answer would almost have to be one of two Texas ladies.  Deborah James has been a major asset to NASA Powerlifting in both Texas and Oklahoma, and our featured National lifter for the month of July.
